Online Therapy Limitations

While online therapy is a highly effective and convenient modality, it may not be suitable for all individuals or all conditions. My practice is not equipped to handle immediate crises, severe mental health conditions requiring intensive in-person care, or situations where a client is actively suicidal or homicidal. If such needs arise, I will provide appropriate referrals to ensure you receive the level of care required.

Geographic Limitations

Sabrina Vonderhaar, LMHC, IADC, is licensed to provide therapy and evaluations only to individuals physically located within the state of Iowa. Due to licensing laws, I cannot provide services to clients residing outside of Iowa.

Confidentiality Limitations

While confidentiality is a cornerstone of my practice and strictly adhered to, there are specific legal and ethical exceptions where I am mandated to break confidentiality. These include, but are not limited to:

Serious and immediate risk of harm to yourself or others.
Suspected child abuse or neglect.
Suspected elder or dependent adult abuse.
Court order or subpoena.
